For the documentary film Gamlet by filmmaker Jan Beddegenoodts, I created all titles, intro and outro credits, VFX and two posters.
I created the animated title sequence of Gamlet’s tag based on his own writing. The main challenge was to find a way to showcase the graffiti works of the featured artist throughout the film, along with their translations. In the end I used motion tracking to ensure that the titles stayed aligned beneath the graffiti artworks.
For the typography and graphics I deliberately sought a connection to Ukraine and found a typography highly fitting for the project: Metro.
A font created by a Ukrainian collective, inspired by the Ukrainian metro typeface.
I also made two film posters, one main poster and one alternative version.
