About Space was a 12 hour happening full of film, performances, talks, concerts and an afterparty organized by Cameltown. The event took place three free spaces in the city of Antwerp: Bar Paniek, Het Bos & Onder Stroom and the streets from Antwerp.
The event was the premiere for Jan Beddegenoodts’ new documentary ‘Groeten uit de Koekenstad’. A film about the pressure on space for creation and experiment in the city of Antwerp. Artists, collectives, and academics offered reflections on the concept of ‘free space’ (or what remains) in the city.
I created the artwork of the event, took care of the communication and social media, oversaw the production across the three sites and contributed filming interviews for the documentary. It was a ride.
